The 16th September saw the World Premiere of Franco Dragones latest masterpiece show, “The House of Dancing Water”. Costing over $2 Billion HK dollars the show brings together a cast from over 23 countries.
I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph some incredible creatures in my career, but these really are one modern-day / prehistoric step further. There are four species of Horseshoe Crab in the world and two of these species are found in Hong Kong. They are literally ‘living fossils’ and look exactly the same as they did millions of years ago.
A former Philippine National Police officer took a bus carrying a Hong Kong tour group hostage. The twelve hour ordeal ended in a bloody shoot out that resulted in 7 hostages being killed and seven more in a critical condition after a failed, bungled attempt to rescue them by the Philippine SWAT team unfolded live on international media. Hongkonger’s, angry at the ill-prepared and thought out rescue that resulted in such a high number of casualties, call for an investigation as to why a highly trained anti-terrorist squad was kept on standby whilst a lesser trained and equipped police SWAT team took the lead role.
An estimate 80,000 people took to the streets on Sunday 29th August to demand a thorough investigation and to remember the victims.
